In the first pictorial plan, we see a strange character, a child half human, half sheep, with an axe, pointed towards his back, surrounded by the three brutal dictators who ordered the worst genocides in the world: Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. We are witnessing a self-execution, a metaphorical way to escape from the suffering.
It’s never enough to disclose these horrors; it’s crucial to understand them, as well as to place them in context, and to integrate them into historical memory.
